Examinations
Examinations conducted by qualified Royal Academy of Dance examiners are a great way for students to track their achievements in ballet. Certificates are awarded to successful candidates and are recognized throughout the world.
The Vocational levels aim to develop the technique, music and performance skills of the older ballet student to an advanced level, preparing them for a dance or dance-related career.
Exam Policies
Exams are not mandatory and it is up to the teacher to decide at what stage students are ready to enter an exam.
Examination fees are set by the Royal Academy of Dance and are not included in class tuition fees. Exam fees are non-refundable.
Students wishing to take their exam must register for a minimum of 2 ballet classes per week. Additional technique and conditioning classes are strongly recommended for exam students.
Raincity Dance Students in Grades 1-8 will enter Winter exams in February/ March. Vocational Students will enter exams in the Spring session in May/ June.
